Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Shoreline
A chopper flying near a well-attended coastal coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage uploaded online show the chopper starting to spin over the shoreline then falling near the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a staircase close to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were hurt. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
