The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, demons, and dark forces growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the team access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the clan.

This means them few options but to head to the northern region in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Planners parties.

Fans can expect discovering which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
